MOA: Okanagan Similkameen Watershed Collaborative Leadership Table

The historic signing of this unprecedented agreement to work together for the good of siwɬkʷ|water across these two watersheds took place on November 15, 2024. The MOA has now been signed by over 130 elected leaders from the Syilx Nation and Local Governments.

The MOA marked the formal beginning of a government-to-government Collaborative Leadership Table committed to set strategic direction and address common concerns related to siwɬkʷ|water in the region.

Current Signatories include:

Syilx Okanagan Nation: Lower Similkameen Indian Band, Okanagan Indian Band, Osoyoos Indian Band, Penticton Indian Band, Upper Similkameen Indian Band and Westbank First Nations

Local Governments: City of Penticton, City of Vernon, District of Lake Country, District of Peachland, District of Summerland, District of Coldstream, Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen, Township of Spallumcheen, Town of Oliver, Town of Osoyoos, City of Armstrong, Town of Princeton, Village of Keromeos
