Although there are voices missing at the table, “Almost everybody in the valley has agreed to follow a syilx-led process,” Says John Wagner, an environmental anthropologist and professor emeritus at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. “That wasn’t happening 20 years ago. It sure wasn’t happening 40 years ago. That’s pretty extraordinary.”
