Strengthening Our Truth

Okanagan Nation Alliance will be hosting captikʷl Forums this year, in partnership with the En’owkin Centre. The captikʷɬ forums are held for insight and community engagement in examining Syilx captikʷɬ, how lessons from the captikʷɬ connect with our modern way of living, and how to integrate Syilx values and principles within captikʷɬ in Policy & Planning.

Open only to those with Syilx ancestry (or parents/guardians of Syilx children), unless stated otherwise on poster and/or registration form. 

*Please Note: The morning portion of this event will be recorded via Zoom for internal research and archival purposes only, and cannot be distributed or shared. As captikʷɬ are our oral histories, we wish to honour our ancestors traditional practice of engaging in active listening when telling stories in ʔistk (winter).
